Nepali street food opening soon on Chatham High Street.
A short, changing menu of Nepali street food. Hand-folded momo, char-grilled choila, pani puri and warming dal bhat, made fresh through the day.
Momo
Steamed Veg Momo - GBP 7.50. Hand-folded dumplings filled with spiced cabbage, carrot and paneer, served with house tomato achar.
Chicken Momo - GBP 8.50. Juicy chicken mince dumplings steamed to order with ginger, coriander and a smoky sesame dip.
Pan-Fried Momo - GBP 9.50. Steamed then charred on a hot plate for a crisp golden base, finished with a chilli-garlic glaze.
Street Bites
Pani Puri - GBP 6.50. Hollow crisp shells filled with spiced chickpea, potato and tamarind water. Six per portion.
Chana Achar - GBP 5.50. Warm chickpea tossed in mustard oil, onion, coriander and a tangy Nepali lime dressing.
Choila - GBP 8.00. Char-grilled spiced chicken with ginger, garlic, mustard oil and roasted timur pepper.
Mains
Gurkha Chicken Curry - GBP 11.50. Slow-cooked chicken in a deep tomato and timur gravy, served with steamed rice or roti.
Dal Bhat - GBP 10.50. Lentil dal, jasmine rice, seasonal saag and achar, the everyday plate of the Nepali hills.
Thukpa - GBP 9.50. Nepali noodle soup with chicken, hand-pulled noodles and a warming ginger-broth.
Drinks
Gurkha Tea - GBP 3.00. Black tea brewed with milk, cardamom and a pinch of Himalayan salt.
Mango Lassi - GBP 4.00. Thick yogurt blended with alphonso mango and a crackle of toasted cumin.
Spiced Chai - GBP 3.00. Assam tea steeped with ginger, clove and a slow pour of condensed milk.
